How to DIY Damage Free Garland Hanging Hack

Here’s a Christmas decorating hack for you! Damage free garland hanging with a shower curtain rod!

I took the shower curtain from our guest bathroom and tested this out for myself. It has held up really well! I even put my heavy Norfolk pine garlands on and it didn’t budge.


Now go forth and deck those halls!

Step 1

Decide where you will have your hanging garland.

STEP 2

Use a curtain rod and tighten at the entry.

Tip

You can use cardboard or cardstock paper at the end for little to no marks.

STEP 3

Drape and wrap your shower curtain rod with your garland. You might need two garlands for a fuller look. Remember to fluff your garland.

Step 4

Weave your twinkle lights into your garland and add accent ornaments or accent garland in. Remember to fluff or spread your accent garland too!

STEP 5

With a step ladder, raise your shower curtain rod to your desired height. Two people would make it smoother!
