5 Ways to Clean With Baking Soda

I’m a believer in cleaning with baking soda! It is my favourite ingredient to clean with.

*Disclaimer: Be sure to check your manufacturing to make sure baking soda is okay to use with your vacuum.

  1. clean your rug

Deodorize your rug by putting a generous layer of baking soda on your rugs and carpets.

Leave overnight and vacuum the next day.

2. remove rubbish and the smell from drains

Unclog your drains by pouring boiling water down your sink and then put half a cup of baking soda followed by one cup of white vinegar down the drain. Followed by running hot tap water for a minute. This will help loosen small clogs in your drain and clean any unpleasant odour.

3. Brighten your clothes

Place half a cup of baking soda in your machine before loading your whites to brighten your clothing. Run it on a regular wash cycle with your usual detergent.

4. clean fruits and veggies

To remove pesticides, use 1tsp of baking soda dissolved in 1/2 litter of water. Let it soak for 10-12 minutes before rinsing off completely and enjoy!

5. sink cleaner

Scrub your sinks of scuffs and stains by using a little water, dish soap and a few tbsps of baking soda. It’ll look like new with this soft scrub. I do this once a week to keep our kitchen sink sparkling clean. This works on stainless steal sinks as well!

Enjoy!

Love,

W
