Cozy Family Room Reveal

I've been working on the family room for quite some time now, and I've been playing with the mood board to make sure it feels cohesive with the rest of the house.

I partnered with a long-time favourite, Crate and Barrel for this family room and I think we nailed the cozy earthen feel for this room while also making sure it was highly durable and functional. We host a ton and I don't want to feel like I have to chase my guests with coasters or have them treat our furniture delicately.

Here's what the room looked like before. Not pictured is the fireplace on the other side. This room faces our kitchen and opens up to the dining room on the left.

Here is the mood board that I came up with. I wanted to bring warm elements and stain-resistant materials in this room.

Here is the vision come to life! It's a relaxed a inviting family room that you can plop yourself down in and chill. I didn't want anything fussy so I made sure to choose clean lines in the furniture pieces which you can see in the Cavett Ash Wood Leather Chair. It's in the colour Camel.

It has the classic mid-century modern lines in an ash wood that compliments our floors. I like that it's leather since it'll age beautifully with time and it is very easy to clean up!

For the couch, I wanted to pick a large piece that will accommodate more people. I chose to go with the Wells 2 Piece Chaise Sectional in the colour Gravel.

This sectional can comfortably accommodate three to four people. The seat cushions are made with high-resiliency foam that needs no fluffing. And the material is stain-resistant which is music to my ears.

I want beautiful, comfortable furniture that is easy to maintain and these two pieces fit the bill.

The last piece that we incorporated into the room was the Azura Brass Round C-Table. I love that it is such a sturdy piece, the base is made out of steel and it has a lovely brass patina finish to it.

This table can tuck in under the couch if I ever wanted to work at the sectional and I just admire the sculpture element that it brings into the space.

I love how the space came together and can't wait to have people over.

Thanks for reading!

Love,

W
